Weekly cricket roundup

Hit of the week: For me (I didn't watch the India v Sri Lanka games!) was Brett Lee's 105m long and 40m high six out of the Gabba ground.. Possibly the biggest six in the history of international cricket! The ball landed in the nets outside the ground!

Player of the week: Mahendra Singh Dhoni - he won two matches by hitting the ball for 6! Awesome.

Rising Star: Denesh Ramdin, the 20yr old West Indian wicketkeeper... He kept well in the first innings, and scored 37 not out in batting with the tail.

Debut of the week: Finally, finally, finally. 4 years and 11 months ago he was interviewed by 'The Cricket Show', channel 9s lunch break program.. 'where do you see yourself in five years time?' the interviewer asked 'Opening the batting for Australia, hopefully' he replied.. And with an apprenticeship of over 15,000 first class runs WA's Mike Hussey has finally made his test debut for Australia.. This guy is the real deal, and I wish him all the best and hope he secures a spot (although not Justin Langer's!) for many years to come!
