Remembrance Day 2005

On the 11th of November, 1918 the armistice that ended World War I came into force, and brought to an end four years of hostilities.

So on the 11th day of the 11th month at 11.00am, Australians pause and remember the sacrifice of all men & women who have died in wars and conflicts over the past 100 years.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.
