At the WACA - 2nd day - Warne vs Gibbs

Day 2

8.50am
We've just arrived at the WACA, and we are sitting in row K, which is just 3 rows down from the South Africans dressing rooms.

The South African team were first out for warmups today. Makhaya Ntini said 'Good morning!' to everyone as he came down for warmups, pretended to look down at his hand for a watch and said 'It's Sunday, shouldn't everyone be in Church?!' and laughed at his own joke. :) He seems like a real personality - always smiling, bouncing around and being really friendly with everyone, He enjoys cricket.

I got the autograph I had been wanting, my favourite South African, Jacques Rudolph was coming up from warmups and *smile* signed my hat for me! yay! I hope he plays well.

12.30pm
Lunch time, and the real battle of today has been Shane Warne vs Herchelle Gibbs. I have just been fascinated watching Warnie beat the bat of Gibbs time after time, only to see Gibbs counter-attack by hitting two 4s in a row.. Interesting.

3.10pm

You can see Bill Lawry sitting next to Tony Greig in his customary hat.

Tea, and it's a really nice hot day here.. the Gatormeter on the big screen says that the temperature is currently 35C with a humidity factor of 46%.. and that makes the playing comfort conditions hot. Channel 9 are filming their tea time feature with Tony Greig and Bill Lawry just 25 meters away from where we are sitting.
